Biography
Eddy Birth is an independent singer-songwriter whose evocative storytelling and raw, genre-spanning sound have begun to cultivate a grassroots following across the folk, Americana, country, outlaw, and indie rock scenes. With over 31 tracks available on streaming platforms such as Spotify and Apple Music, Eddy’s music is a heartfelt exploration of life’s most poignant truths and unflinching realities.

On March 21st, Eddy Birth will release his highly anticipated sophomore full-length album, "Soul & Dirt." The album dives deep into the profound yet universal themes of mortality and the unknowns of the afterlife. In a world that promises no certainties beyond death, Eddy’s lyrics encourage listeners to embrace the fleeting beauty of the present moment. The album’s central metaphor—the transformation of our bodies into soil—serves as a poetic meditation on how death fuels new life. This philosophy, both comforting and ironic, is woven throughout "Soul & Dirt," alongside Eddy’s trademark reflections on corporate greed, environmental destruction, religious hypocrisy, and political incompetence.

Eddy’s music is deeply influenced by legendary artists such as Neil Young, Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash, Jack White, The Avett Brothers, and The Rolling Stones. Drawing comparisons to storytellers like Dylan and rebellious spirits like Young, Eddy channels these influences into his own unique sound that feels both timeless and fresh.

A multi-instrumentalist, Eddy showcases his versatility through his mastery of acoustic and electric guitar, harmonica, theremin, ukulele, accordion, piano, and jaw harp. Though currently unsigned, Eddy Birth is carving out his place in the music world as an authentic, independent voice. His approach is as organic as his themes, with a grassroots effort that reflects the raw honesty of his music. Eddy’s work is not about massive fame but about connection—with his listeners, with the world around him, and with the timeless cycles of life he so eloquently sings about.

With "Soul & Dirt" on the horizon, Eddy Birth continues to build a legacy as a powerful voice in contemporary music—a voice that reminds us to find solace in the present and connection in the cycle of life.

Meet the percussionist: Sean Birth! Eddy and Sean (cousins) started playing music together back in 2017 with the foundation of their joint project: Straight Skinny. When Eddy made the decision to lean into the folk and Americana genres, it was only natural to keep Sean Birth involved for all things percussion. Sean continues to bring passion to every show. His rhythm keeps the crowd rocking all night long with intricate patterns, enthusiasm, and million dollar smile brings an unparalleled element to every venue.

Since linking up with Eddy, a cohesive energy vibrating between the two cousin's dominates any live setting. They have a bond that only shared blood can form (no blood oaths needed). Whether performing solo or alongside Sean, Eddy captivates audiences with intimate acoustic sets or more dynamic, folk-rock performances featuring suitcase kick drums and full percussion kits.
